Welcome

I will keep my patch notes updated here. New features are always added to the main webpage.

August 2021 Updates

REQUIRES A NEW SAVE.

Why?: I've moved around a LOT of stuff and the game has persistent references that will go sideways and cause havoc (pun intended) to your current game. If you are happy with your current game and have no desire to start over yet, then be patient and wait.

Dawnstar has been redesigned with homes for all the miners, a proper temple location, a sailor's pub, more interactions with the harbour and Snowleaf has been vastly updated and moved across the water. There should be no further issues with compatibility and the docks. The troll behind Dawnstar would randomly pop up on people's map with a large agro radius and he has been dealt with.

There will be no further patching for Arthmoor's Dawnstar. After much deliberation I've decided to go through with my initial changes for Dawnstar in order to accomodate Villages and two more addons for DC which made keeping the patch updated far too much work and headache for my users. Please understand this decision did not come lightly. If you are using DC you won't be able to use Arthmoor's Dawnstar.

Whiterun: Has had a complete realistic, immersive, lore-friendly, area-edit overhaul. Windcreek, Whiterun Fur Traders, Servio Pelagia, Amren's House, etc have all been moved. This was done to creat a more cohesive Whiterun. Servio Pelagia is at his farm... where he belongs. He will still visit Whiterun but he really is where he should be considering he's Second Class Character. This opened up room to have the Fur Trader shop in the trading district with everyone else.

Amren's family has been moved to where Windcreek used to be and prior to that, Heimskr. Uthgerd and Jenassa have a joined house behind the trading district where the Whiterun Fur traders was. So yeah, they have homes! With proper packages! And things to do! You won't find Uthgerd and Jenassa just waiting around anymore, they have lives!

All cabins in DC have been updated to feel more homey and offer more interactions. Riverside, Coldwind, Snowleaf, etc, have all been updated. Windcreek in Whiterun has been updated with 90% of all items disabled. You will have to buy and build your home. X users should be able to get inside. There's a memory leak with the Whiterun textures so all I can tell you is try to sneak in at night to decorate your home when there are less packages from NPCs firing and you should be okay. S and OG users will still have no problems moving around.

Solitude has had a major overhaul with the trading district. Enjoy!

Windhelm has been updated with new locations and better compatibility with a few other mods

Morthal has some under the hood changes for a future addon. It's also been toned down a bit with the ivy and given more moss and other visual updates

Villages:

Berkshire Castle moved to the west a bit which should avoid a dungeon conflict with another mod

Ravenwood has an exterior back porch update

Updated interiors and exteriors for the large homes and more on the road interactions. City of the Ancients has been updated with better lighting templates and more items to purchase. Under the hood hooks for future developments of the Divine Cities series for more adventures

Eight new 'easter eggs' to find in your travels.

This list is not exhaustive. I've had this update ready to go since May when everything went tits up on Bethesda's servers and my initial update notes have been lost to the void. Go. Explore. Have Fun.

DC Updates - October 2020

Open Floorplans - I need to remind people the reason my homes have a more open floor plan and aren't as cluttered as most player homes is to allow for animal and NPC idle markers and that they have room to sit, lay down, read books, etc.

Some displays weren't displaying as they should. The display cases are now behaving in Autumngale.

The Hidden Lair has been updated to reflect a vampire or necromancer type person. There's a main bedroom with optional 2 player bed or coffine, along with a display room for various artifacts not found in the other homes. Webpage has been updated to show which displays. The dining area will display either vampiric bloody food or regular food and there's a blood potion making station.

The Raven Rock Trading Post has been updated for new interior design work. You'll also find food imports from Vvardenfell to purchase.

APCs have been given a makeover- their race data is now set to "never enter combat" along with their packages being set to ignore combat and they have all been given appropriate class point distribution to earn the "light foot" perk to not set off (most) traps. Please note that Broghir likes to snarfle about and can alert enemies although I've done what I can to make him as quiet as possible. There's no way to muzzle a bear!

They also have a debugger now- if you have asked a pet to follow you and they are lost somewhere you can go to Markarth to the Animal Whisperer's House and ask for her to find a pet for you (she is located across from the mines). They will appear near the astroglobes. If your pet has been lost due to another mod while waiting, I can't fix that.

The only way I can fully debug the situation and not provide a cheat to people is by knowing you've found the pet yourself and setting the condition that they were actually following you. Otherwise people would simply use her to spam the 14 APC's and completely mess up the purpose of an APC. I've seen people do really weird and stupid things with my mods and then cry that I'm the one who broke it, so in this case, I have a failsafe. If you use mods that take over NPCs, such as IC I also can't fix that. I've done everything I can to unhook the APCs from being targeted by other mods but sometimes those mods are persistant. I can't fix people breaking stuff even if I want to.

There's a tree in Riverwood that the basegame LOD tries to load. We don't know why, it's an engine level bug. If this bothers you, walk over to the lumberjack area and find a saw, on it will be [Tree Debug] which will put up a fully grown tree instead of the stump. I mean, it's supposed to be a logger town but I guess they haven't gotten around to one yet

DC Followers have been upgraded to reduce noise they make while you stealth by 85%. This should help the sneak player not worry about their followers setting of alarms. Not all followers are programmed with sneak so instead they get a little hidden perk to reduce their noise automatically. I've also updated their class weights to make them more useful as they level with you.

DC:V Updates

Silverdrift Facelift -- From the Town of Morthal take the pathway out of town and past the blacksmith. Down the road you'll see the path branch off into a road towards Silverdrift Mine. Please note I did not disturb navmesh in the area, so if you bring a follower, they might get confused on the bridges as I set them up with collision boxes to protect against animals getting stuck. They're decorative for the most part and helps the player find what they're looking for. The miners also have more places to sleep .

Animal followers in DCV have been given an upgrade on their stealthy ways so they aren't so loud in dungeons.

Village followers are now also more stealthy and given better class weights. This should improve them in combat and make it so that you can give them just about any weapon and they'll use it effectively, or teach them a couple more spells from IFF.

Request Boards - The button mesh has been removed to make the board feel more organic. You still want to activate it by the left side- this is done intentionally so that people are actively making a choice to read a request. The boards had their havok removed for 2 reasons 1. so NPCs stop getting stuck in them and 2. because the X seems to have problems with non-native havok. In this way we can help tone down the problems X users might have.

On the Heels of Wisdom - While I had a quest marker set up for people to find the doorway at the end, the CK has a little "ignore locked door" button which I hadn't selected before. I thought I had this enabled a few updates ago, but alas I did not. It is now re-enabled and easier to find.

DC: Boat Travel Update

Waystations will stock the boat kits, along with other vendors added by DC (so we can stay out of the base game's inventories).
